NEW! Pathways Checking-Follow the Path to Financial Freedom
A Pathways Checking Account is available for members who do not qualify for our regular checking account due to prior difficulties maintaining a positive account balance. We understand that there may be unforeseen circumstances causing financial hardship. In keeping with our mission of people helping people, we think that everyone deserves a second chance. Pathways Checking will help put you on the path to financial freedom.
How does Pathways Checking Work?
To be eligible for Pathways Checking, you must enroll in Get Checking. Get Checking is a class designed to help people who currently do not have a checking account with a financial institution, or have been denied a checking account at a financial institution.
What you will learn:
- How to choose an account that is right for you.
- What you need to know to keep your checking account in balance
- How your account relationship can help you establish credit and access other services.
- How to avoid the top ten banking mistakes
- Build confidence in your money skills
Once you have completed the Get Checking course, you will receive a Certificate. To open your account, take your Certificate and all proper identification to First Alliance. Note: If you have outstanding fees from a prior account, you must settle that account before you can open a new one. First Alliance is not required to open an account if there has been evidence of fraud on a prior account, or any unpaid items are outstanding.
