The Front Page

The front page gives you an overview of what’s in the switch kit and is decorated in First Alliance colors and adorned with the First Alliance logo. Like most front pages, it’s a great place to start.

The Switch Kit Checklist

This checklist walks you through the five steps you need to take when switching to a new financial institution, like First Alliance Credit Union. It further breaks each step into sub steps and lets you keep track of the process by providing check boxes next to each step. This is an excellent way to keep the process of switching to a new financial institution organized.

Automatic Payment and Deposit Checklist

This is where the switch kit really starts proving its worth. Here, you can write down all of your automatic payments and deposits, including the company, your account number and the date you pay them. You can use this information to make reaching out to everyone to whom you make payments and receive deposits easier, as well as keep track of who you’ve reached out to.

Direct Deposit Transfer Letter and Automatic Payment Transfer Letter

Once you know who you need to contact to have your payments and direct deposits transferred, these two letters will make the process absurdly easy.

Both letters show you what information you need to fill out, including your account number and where the money should be deposited or what account you’ll be using to make your payments. It also includes the First Alliance Credit Union routing number to make the process even easier. Finally, both letters also include a space for your signature to authorize the transfer. The hardest part about these letters might just be getting your printer to print them.

Account Closure Request

Once you’re ready to close your old account, this request form will make the process much easier. Like the direct deposit transfer letter and the automatic payment transfer letter, it provides spaces for all the information you’ll need to provide. All you have to do is fill it out, send it to your old financial institution and your switch is complete.
