On Monday, October 12, 2026 First Alliance Credit Union closed all branch locations as 79 employees come together for its annual volunteer event, All for One Day. Each employee spent two hours volunteering, totaling 158 hours of service in the community.
The annual day of service brings the First Alliance team together to give back in the communities it serves through hands-on volunteer projects with local organizations across southern Minnesota.
This year, First Alliance employees volunteered with the Women’s Shelter & Support Center, the Boys & Girls Club of Rochester, and Family Service Rochester.
“Having a group of 25 First Alliance employees here gives us an opportunity to tackle projects that make a real difference in our outdoor spaces while bringing community partners together around our kids,” said Danielle Thompson, Director of Resource Development for the Boys & Girls Club of Rochester.
Throughout the day, volunteers took on projects including raking leaves, cleaning gutters, organizing spaces, and completing other hands-on work to help each nonprofit continue serving the community.

“All for One Day is about more than volunteering; it’s about presence and partnership,” said Brent Rempe, President & CEO of First Alliance Credit Union. "Closing our branches for one day allows our entire team to show up together, strengthen our community partnerships, and live out the cooperative spirit that has been part of First Alliance since 1932."
First Alliance’s community give-back day is part of a statewide credit union initiative called CU Kind, coordinated by the Minnesota Credit Union Network. In 2025, more than 3,500 credit union employees, members, and partners volunteered nearly 6,000 hours with 360 community organizations across Minnesota, reflecting the cooperative spirit that defines the credit union movement.
Since 2015, First Alliance has observed Indigenous Peoples’ Day by closing branches and dedicating the day to community service. The event was named All for One Day in 2018 as a nod to its member-first philosophy: ALL we do is FOR every ONE of our members.
