Update: NE Rochester Branch Closure

First Alliance Credit Union

First Alliance Credit Union About The Author

Feb 5, 2024 6:45:00 AM

On October 18th, 2023 we had to unexpectedly close our 320 Alliance Place NE Rochester branch due to concerns over the building’s structural integrity, which was uncovered during planned repairs. Since this announcement our leadership team and board of directors have been diligently considering options for our NE Rochester branch.

We take our role as stewards of your money seriously and we must effectively manage the credit union’s resources. Unfortunately, the cost to repair the structural damage to the building is significant and we have made the difficult decision to demolish the building and list the property for sale to minimize the financial impact to the credit union.

We understand this is a continued inconvenience to those members who are loyal to our NE Rochester branch and we want you to know this decision was not made lightly. We remain committed to serving members in NE Rochester and are working with experts to determine the best solution moving forward. We will continue to keep you updated over the coming months as information becomes available.
