In January 2014 we opened our 3900 Fairway Place NW Rochester branch, which we often refer to as our 55th Street NW location. Member traffic at this branch started out very strong, however the major road construction project in the area has significantly decreased easy access to our NW branch. Due to this change in access member activity has declined, and we anticipate continued declines at this location due to the roadway changes. Therefore, because of the decline in traffic and activity, the credit union will be permanently closing the 55th Street NW branch location on December 29, 2017. 

We realize that closing this location is an inconvenience to those members who are loyal to our 55th Street NW branch and want you to know this decision was not made lightly.  However, we must continue to effectively manage the credit union’s resources and closing the 55th Street NW branch is ultimately the best decision under these circumstances. 

First Alliance Credit Union has been searching for a suitable branch location in the North West quadrant of Rochester for many years. When we leased the space in 2014 that currently houses our  3900 Fairway Place NW branch, we were aware of a pending construction project, however, the specific impact to our branch location was unknown at the time. Now that the major road construction project has been completed the 55th Street NW branch has seen continued declines in traffic and activity due to the inconvenient changes in access to the branch.
